The difference between digital printing and ordinary printing

Leave a message

Digital printing is widely used in the printing of patterns of T-shirts and work clothes because of its simplicity, environmental protection and high cost performance. It is very popular in the market. Let's talk about the advantages and disadvantages of digital printing and the difference between digital printing and ordinary printing.

Advantages of digital printing:

1. Digital printing is inkjet on demand, reducing chemical waste and wastewater discharge; inkjet has low noise, low energy consumption, quiet and clean, no environmental pollution, and realizes green production process.

2. It breaks the defects of traditional printing process, simplifies cumbersome processes, enriches traditional printing process, shortens order cycle, and reduces the cost of plate making and proofreading.

3. Wide color gamut, bright colors, rich varieties, up to more than 1,000 kinds, while traditional printing has only dozens of kinds.

4. High precision, clear and delicate images. At present, the resolution of digital printing is as high as 1440dpi, while the resolution of traditional printing process is only 255dpi.

5. Realize small batch production, not limited by production batches, and realize personalized production needs.

Disadvantages of digital printing:

1. At present, digital direct printing technology still has the problems of large equipment investment and high ink cost.

2. Due to the high cost of consumables, the price of digital printing is much higher than traditional printing when printing in large quantities.

3. The color accuracy of digital printing is worse than that of traditional printing. Digital printing is a kind of CMYK mixed color printing. All colors are mixed by four-color ink. A little external influence, such as ink difference, print head difference, and slight changes in the printing process environment, will affect the accuracy of a series of mixed colors.

The difference between digital printing and ordinary printing

1. Different principles

1. Digital printing: The pattern is input into the computer in digital form. After being edited and processed by the computer printing color separation tracing system (CAD), the micro piezoelectric inkjet nozzle controlled by the computer directly sprays the special dye liquid on the textile to form the desired pattern.

2. Ordinary printing: According to the sublimation characteristics of some disperse dyes, the transfer paper with the pattern is in close contact with the fabric. Under the control of a certain temperature, pressure and time, the dye is transferred from the printing paper to the fabric and diffuses into the fabric to achieve the purpose of coloring.

2. Different advantages

1. Digital printing: The dye liquid is directly packaged in a special box and sprayed on the fabric as required, which is neither wasted nor polluted by wastewater, eliminating the dye liquid discharged by the printing machine in the mixing chamber, and realizing a pollution-free printing process. This also saves the consumption of materials such as film, screen and silver cylinder.

2. Ordinary printing: The base color of the fabric is white or mostly white, and the printed pattern is lighter from the back than the front.

The above is about the advantages and disadvantages of digital printing and its difference from ordinary printing technology. I hope it will be helpful to you.
