When should you not choose to use pigment ink printing on fabric?
When using pigment inks for fabric printing, it is difficult to produce vibrant colors. Additionally, the depth of the black will be slightly lighter compared to the blacks obtained when printing with reactive dyes. This pigment is better suited for lighter surfaces, such as soft, uneven surfaces. Light watercolor flowers are the perfect design to print with pigment inks. Digital printing is a surface printing that may be susceptible to damage. Therefore, it is not recommended to wipe (or "clean") materials printed with pigment inks, especially if they are wet.

Printing with pigment ink on fabric isn't the best option when you want to print something like white dots on a black background. Unless you need a single printout that is 2 meters long, or you want your order completed quickly, fabric printing with pigmented inks is the only sensible way to go.

The entire printing process is definitely simpler than reactive dye printing, so printers engaged in pigment ink printing can usually guarantee shorter delivery times and lower prices for small orders than printers engaged in reactive dye printing.

For example, when printing 1 meter of any pattern on cotton fabric with pigment ink, the starting price is PLN 56.90 per meter of printed textile, and the time to fulfill such an order is up to 5 working days (usually even less) . For printing houses that use reactive dyes for printing, such a small order will not be accepted at all, and you may even have to wait several weeks to get the entire piece of fabric. It's worth considering these factors when choosing a method of printing your design.
