100% flax material will shrink.
Flax is a plant fiber with a unique touch. Excessive flax content can cause tingling on the skin and even cause itching. China Fiber Inspection stipulates that the content of pure flax is 100% flax in the product.
Pure flax is strong and durable, absorbs sweat and dissipates heat, but lacks toughness and is easy to shrink and deform. Therefore, most linen products are not 100% pure flax. Cotton, viscose and other materials are added to it to prevent its deformation.
Flax fiber is woven into various styles of linen fabrics through exquisite processing technology. It has unique lines and luster, fast moisture absorption, fast heat dissipation, strong breathability, and anti-static properties.
Flax fiber exists in the bast tissue of hemp stems. After retting and degumming, part of the colloid is removed, so that the adhesive fiber bundles are partially loosened, and then it is processed into "beaten hemp" by pressing and beating, which is a process fiber composed of 10 to 20 single fibers. Due to its good moisture absorption, fast moisture conduction and relatively thin diameter, linen fabric is one of the main fiber raw materials for summer clothing.
Internationally, linen is mostly woven on shuttle looms and rapier looms, and the products include delicate and elegant linen handkerchiefs, shirting fabrics, crepe, fancy yarn products, sportswear and linen and wool blended products. Household products include: curtains, wall cloths, tablecloths, bedding, etc. Industrial products include: canvas, luggage tents, insulation cloth, filter cloth and aviation products.
