Carrington Textiles in the UK has developed Flamestat 250, a versatile flame-retardant fabric with comfort at its core. It is a multi-standard flame retardant fabric with anti-static features, with the comfort of cotton and the durability of polyester.
Flamestat 250 is a flame retardant fabric with anti-static properties, the main feature of which is its lightweight properties, while maintaining the high standards of protection and performance that Carrington Textiles has always had.
The Flamestat 250 weighs 250gsm and has a high cotton content in its composition to provide a soft feel and comfort for the wearer, while the polyester in it provides durability and strength.
"We were able to quickly adapt to market needs, and since we saw a growing trend in wearers' comfort shifting from workwear to flame-retardant fabrics, we created Flamestat 250. We also want to develop lighter mass to complement our product Flamestat 290 without compromising product performance, "explains Kirsty White, Research and Development Manager.
The Flamestat 250 is the newest member of the Flamestat family and is industrially cleanable and, thanks to its robust construction, guaranteed to last throughout the service life of the garment. The fabric is 75% cotton, 24% polyester and 1% antistatic, and its flame retardant complies with EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 14116 Index 3 and EN ISO 11611. Its antistatic properties conform to EN 1149-3-5.
The Flamestat 250 is available in a variety of colours, including high-visibility yellow, black and navy blue, and offers arc and chemical splash protection according to EN 61482-1-2 and EN 13034, respectively.

Flamestat 250, developed by Carrington Textiles, is a versatile flame-retardant fabric that prioritised comfort. It combines the comfort of cotton with the durability of polyester. In addition, Flamestat 250 meets several safety standards and offers protective properties against a variety of hazards.
