It is a cotton corduroy having eight strips each inch. Corduroy is a cotton fabric with cut weft and longitudinal strips on the surface. By cutting velvet, brush velvet and other processing, the surface of the fabric appears to be shaped like a wick obviously raised velvet strip, hence it get the name of corduroy. Corduroy consists of a set of warp fiber and two sets of weft fiber. One set of weft fiber is interwoven with the warp fiber to form a consolidated pile, while the other set of weft fiber is interwoven with the warp fiber to form a regular float, which is cut to form a pile. The corduroy fabric feels smooth and soft, the velvet is clear and round. The luster is soft and uniform. It is thick and wear-resistant.
