We offer a range of digital capabilities that allow us to print on a variety of substrates, from natural fibers (such as cotton and linen) and cellulosic fibers (rayon and tencel) to synthetic fibers (such as polyester and nylon) .
What is digital printing?
First, let's look at traditional printing. Traditional screen printing requires engraving one screen for each color in the pattern. Therefore, a pattern with 18 colors would require 18 screens. Additionally, there are 18 different colors to mix and match. With digital printing, there's no need to mix screens or colors. Any image you see on your computer can be reproduced on fabric just like your desktop printer prints the image on paper.

What fabrics can be printed?
We utilize inkjet printers to print on a variety of natural, cellulosic and synthetic fabrics. We also print on polyester using digital sublimation technology, where the paper is printed and then transferred to the fabric through a heat setting process.
What kind of ink is used? Is the fabric washable and colorfast?
Our printers primarily use reactive dyes to print natural and cellulosic fabrics that are brightly colored and soft and supple to the touch. These dyes comply with the Oeko-tex 100 safe textile standard. Fabrics printed this way are machine washable (if available), dry cleanable, and colorfast. Ultimately, it is the buyer's responsibility to order and test sample yardage to determine any performance standards they require.
What do you need to print my design? Are there any design restrictions?
The image file can be any Photoshop (PSD), JPEG or TIFF file, with an optimal resolution of 300 DPI. When designing continuous patterns, they should be placed into repetitions. However, unlike traditional printing, your repeats are not limited by the size of your printing screen. You can also print panels and other project layouts.
Can you do design work? repeat? Coloring?
No, we do not provide computer/CAD design support. You need to provide high-resolution files that are printable, repeatable, and have colors that match your goals. We strongly recommend working with a qualified textile designer who understands digital color and design repetition.
Can I use digital printing for sampling and then traditional screen printing for bulk printing?
We'd love to work with you in this way. Please note, however, that if this is your goal, you must share this with us so that we can consult with you on how best to approach your design so that the sample digital prints can be reasonably printed via normal screen printing processes.
